A garage was on fire. A 12-year-old boy was charged with 4th degree arson.

A 32-year-old man was shot to death inside his third-floor apartment on Albany’s Western Avenue. Henry C. Ferrell lived in the brownstone apartment at 158 Western Ave. with a friend. All indications point to an altercation with someone the victim knew that led to the shooting around 2:30 a.m. Sunday. A neighbor and the building’s owner said that Ferrell, a single dad, was in his apartment with several people when the shooting occurred. Many of those people were questioned by police.
