City Police in Auburn have arrested two men in connection with an early morning residential robbery.

Police responded to a report of a robbery in program and when they go there, they were advised by the five victims who were inside the house that two black males had just robbed them at gunpoint. It was learned that the two black male suspects had been in the residence earlier in the night attending a party at the home.              It was reported that the two black males then pulled the two firearms and moved all the victims into one room where they were all searched and personal property and cash were stolen from the victims.  The suspects then fled the area prior to police arrival.

Shortly after, Auburn Police received a call from a resident on Woodlawn Ave stating two black males were pounding on his door asking to be let in.  The resident did not know the subjects at the door and called police for assistance.  Upon Police arrival, officers located the two black males at the front door of the complainant’s residence. Officers determined that these two black males were the outstanding suspects involved in the earlier reported robbery.  Some of the reported stolen property was recovered from one of the suspects at Woodlawn scene.  Also located near the front door of this residence were two firearms matching the description given by the victims of the earlier reported robbery.

The Auburn Police Department subsequently arrested and charged Laquan Alfonso Davis and Tyrone Hines Jr.  Hines originally gave Auburn Police officers a false name and date of birth.  His true identity was discovered after arresting officers submitted his finger prints to the New York State Department of Criminal Justice Services via the department’s digital live scan fingerprinting system.  Additional charges are pending against Hines.

Both defendants were arraigned in Auburn City Court and remanded to the Cayuga County Jail in lieu of $50,000 cash / $100,000 bond for Davis and $100,000 cash or bond for Hines.
