Lee M. Hassett
of Binghamton, NY
Lee M. Hassett, 51, succumbed over a valiant struggle on March 11, 2009. He is survived by his parents, Walter and Sylvia Hassett; brothers and sisters-in-law, David and Rosellen Hassett, James and Leza Hassett, Kirk Hassett, Scott and Christina Hassett; nieces and nephews, Matthew, Michele, Alison, Kirk, Khira, Sarah and Georgia; several aunts, uncles and cousins. He graduated from North High School and Broome Community College. He was very active in the Performing Arts in Binghamton, including time spent singing with the Tri-Cities Opera and Savoyards. He was employed by New York State Workers Compensation.
A life celebration will be held on Monday, March 16, 2009, at 2:00 p.m. at Wm. R. Chase & Son Funeral Home, 737 Chenango Street, Port Dickinson, NY. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 1 p.m. until the time of service. Burial will be in Vestal Hills Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, those wishing kindly consider memorial contributions in Lee's memory to the Tri-Cities Opera, 315 Clinton Street, Binghamton, NY 13905.
