Cars Vandalized in Elmira

Toyota is recalling thousands of cars.

Elmira Police are looking for the person or people responsible for a rash of car vandalisms in the city.  Some neighbors woke up this Christmas Eve to find their car windows busted.    

Elmira Police say nine cars were hit with BB gun pellets sometime late Tuesday night and early Wednesday morning.  The cars were on West Clinton and West First Streets on the northside.  The others were found on the southside on Fulton, Franklin, Erie, Robinson Streets, and Maple Avenue.

Police say BB guns are illegal to use in the city.  They are primarily used in the country for target practice.
