Defendant in cocaine bust pleads guilty to trafficking

The second suspect arrested in an April cocaine bust has admitted to trafficking the drug.

Andrae G. Martin, 23, of the Bronx, pleaded guilty to third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, a Class B felony, in Tompkins County Court on Monday. Aaron W. Milledge, 28, of Ithaca, pleaded guilty to fourth-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, a Class C felony, in mid-August.

Martin and Milledge were arrested April 1 after a three-month investigation of narcotics trafficking in Ithaca and Tompkins County, Ithaca police officials said. The Ithaca Police SWAT team, Ithaca Police Investigative Division, the Sheriff's Office K9 Unit and the state police Community Narcotics Enforcement Team served a warrant at a West Village Place apartment, arrested the pair and seized 13 grams of cocaine with a street value of $1,300, a small amount of marijuana, scales, packaging materials and about $2,100, they added.

Court papers indicated that Milledge did not live at the apartment. Milledge is scheduled to be sentenced Sept. 29, and Martin is scheduled to be sentenced Oct. 30.
