Obituaries
Henriette M. Mascherek, a longtime resident of the Town of Newburgh, NY, entered
into rest on Saturday, February 28, 2009 at St. Luke's Cornwall Hospital,
Newburgh Campus. She was 87.
Daughter of the late Johann and Henriette
Pelka Mascherek, she was born June 21, 1921 in Wichrowitz,
Germany.
Henriette was a seamstress for the International Ladies Garment
Workers' Union (I.L.G.W.U.).
Survivors include her daughter, Gudrun
Cappello and her husband, Andrew of the Town of Newburgh; granddaughter, Angela
McClure and great-grandson, Stephen A. Pihl.
There will be no
visitation.
Memorial services will be held at 7 p.m., Sunday, March 8, at
Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, 468 Route 32, Town of Newburgh, NY, with
Joseph Lynch officiating. Cremation will take place at Cedar Hill
Crematory.

Pellegrino "Pete" Jannotti, a retired real estate salesman for John Lease Real
Estate and lifetime resident of Newburgh, entered into rest on Thursday,
February 5, 2009 in Valley View Nursing Care & Rehab Center in Goshen, NY.
He was 95.
Son of the late Francesco and Josephine Troncillito, he was
born January 28, 1914 in Newburgh. He was married to the late Anne M.
(Silvestri) Jannotti, who passed away in 2003.
Pete was a parishioner of
Sacred Heart Church. He was an active community member, serving as past
president of the Newburgh Senior Citizens Club 60, a member of Sigma Lamb Donu
Fraternity, past member of the Lions Club, and past president of the Real Estate
Multiple Listing Service.
Survivors include his two sons, Frank J.
Jannotti of New Windsor and Gene Jannotti of Westfield, NJ; his brother, Pitro
(Pete) Jannotti; his sister, Angela (Julia) Killian; grandchildren, Frank J.
Jannotti Jr. and Todd M. Jannotti, and one great-grandchild, Carissa Jannotti.
In addition to his wife, he was predeceased by two sisters, Rose Raimondi and
Frances Jannotti.
Visitation will be held from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. on
Monday, February 16, at Brooks Funeral Home, 481 Gidney Ave., Newburgh,
NY.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 9:30 a.m., Tuesday,
February 17, in Sacred Heart Church, Newburgh. Entombment will follow in Cedar
Hill Mausoleum, Newburgh.

rma Villafane, of Newburgh, a retired seamstress from the USMA at West Point NY,
entered into rest on Wednesday, January 28, 2009 at St. Luke's Hospital. She was
79.
Daughter of the late Ralph Ferreira and Sally Nazario, she was born
on February 6, 1929 in New York City. She was married to Rafael Villafane, who
predeceased her in 2007.
She is survived by her loving daughter, Debbie
Herron and her husband, Bill; granddaughter, Lynnette Villafane; nephew, Nicky
Ferreira and his wife, Sandy. She was predeceased by her son, Raphael Villafane;
brother, Ralph Ferreira.
Visitation will be held from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. on
Monday, February 2 at Brooks Funeral Home, 481 Gidney Ave. Newburgh.
A
funeral service will be take place at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, February 3 in the
funeral home. Burial will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery, New Windsor.
