Obituary : Henriette M. Mascherek Print E-mail
Henriette M. Mascherek, a longtime resident of the Town of Newburgh, NY, entered into rest on Saturday, February 28, 2009 at St. Luke's Cornwall Hospital, Newburgh Campus. She was 87.

Daughter of the late Johann and Henriette Pelka Mascherek, she was born June 21, 1921 in Wichrowitz, Germany.

Henriette was a seamstress for the International Ladies Garment Workers' Union (I.L.G.W.U.).

Survivors include her daughter, Gudrun Cappello and her husband, Andrew of the Town of Newburgh; granddaughter, Angela McClure and great-grandson, Stephen A. Pihl.

There will be no visitation.

Memorial services will be held at 7 p.m., Sunday, March 8, at Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, 468 Route 32, Town of Newburgh, NY, with Joseph Lynch officiating. Cremation will take place at Cedar Hill Crematory.
