Donald H. Crandall, 46, of Schenectady, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, July
31, 2009, while attending a Yankee game in Chicago with family and friends. Born
in Schenectady on December 8, 1962, he was the son of Patricia (nee: LaDeaux)
and the late Ronald H. Crandall. He was raised and educated in Schenectady and a
graduate of Linton High School. He was a faithful member of Bethel Full Gospel
Church in Schenectady. He was employed for 16 years as a lieutenant at the
Schenectady County Sheriff's Department. Don was a member of Wegener's
Granulomatosis Association, and a supporter of Montgomery County SPCA. He was an
enthusiastic Yankee fan and will be remembered for his kind heart and joyous
personality. He was patient and positive who never had a bad word to say. He
loved animals and loved his family and grandson in his own special way. Married
on June 5, 1999, Don is survived by his wife, Debi (nee: Kull) Crandall.
Survivors also include his children, Anthony (Matt Boyd) CeFala of NYC and
Vinnie Iadicicco, Jr. of Schenectady; his twin brother, David Crandall of
Rotterdam; and two brothers, Ronnie and Shawn Crandall, both of Schenectady; his
grandson, Xander Iadicicco of Schenectady; his church family including Pastor
and Mrs. Steve Foti; many nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles, friends,
including Joey Capra; and many special pet companions. A memorial celebration
will be held on Thursday at 7 p.m. at Bethel Full Gospel Church, 3669
Guilderland Ave., Schenectady, NY. Memorial contributions may be made in his
