Suffolk
County Police have arrested six people in connection with a burglary
ring that was responsible for the burglaries of occupied residences in
western Suffolk County over the last two weeks.
The
burglary ring was operated out of Wyandanch and struck several homes in
Melville, Deer Park, Islip, Copiague and Smithtown. A search warrant
was executed at one Wyandanch address. Six people were arrested and a
fully loaded .9 mm handgun, two shotguns and proceeds from the
burglaries were seized.
Arrested and charged with
first-degree burglary and first-degree robbery were Tyrone Simpson, 18,
of Wyandanch; Andy Sukram, 18, of Bayport; Bryan Bethea, Jr., 21, of
Central Islip; Benjamin Gains, 18, of Wyandanch; and James Bishop, 19,
of Copiague. Arrested and charged with criminal possession of stolen
property was Steven Brison, 18, of Wyandanch.
