October 24, 2008 Estella Pierce Moore, 84, of Syracuse, passed away October 24,
2008. Born in Mississippi, she retired as a cook from Me-als on Wheels. She was
one of the founding members of the Brotherly Love C.O.G.I.C. and was a licensed
missionary and church mother for over 50 years. Estella was an active
participant at Dunbar Community Center and also an active member of Syracuse
United Neighbors. She was predeceased by her husband, Earl Moore, in 1997.
Survivors: Her daughters, Virginia Moore, Patricia Moore, and Phyllis Moore, all
of Syracuse; son, Jerry Moore of Syracuse; sisters, Olena Moore and Perletta
Williams, both of Syracuse, Virginia Johnson of Florida, Rachael Marble and Elna
Robinson, both of Mississippi; brother, Marion Pierce of Nedrow; sister-in-law,
Leola (Alfred) Blue of Syracuse; grandchildren, James Jackson Jr. of FL and
Melissa Gilbert of Syracuse; and six great-grand-children. Calling Hours: 10
a.m. to noon Saturday, with funeral services to follow at BROVERLY LOVE
C.O.G.I.C., 1234 S. State Street, Syracuse. Burial in Oakwood Cemetery. FARONE
