A 21-year-old White Plains man is accused of stabbing a woman who was having a fight with his girlfriend in Yonkers.
Anthony Santiago of 120 Lake St. was charged with second-degree assault, a felony, and criminal possession of a weapon, a misdemeanor.
Police were alerted to the stabbing at 10:30 last night when an 18-year-old woman flagged down Officers Neil Vera and Peter Schwartz in a cruiser and told them she had been stabbed.
The victim told the officers she was involved in a fight in a Nodine Hill apartment with Santiago's girlfriend. The victim told police that, while she was on the ground, Santiago stabbed her several times in the arm.
A description was broadcast and Officers Remy Susini and Myron Kosiv caught Santiago in the area.
The victim was transported to a local hospital for treatment of the knife wounds.
