Robert E. Berry September 8, 1931 - June 8, 2008 A resident of San Mateo County for over 40 years, Robert Berry, 76, passed away in his home on Sunday morning. Diagnosed with Alzheimer's in 2006, Mr. Berry spent a peaceful last year enjoying the continued company of beloved old friends. Mr. Berry was retired after having spent 32 years of service with Pacific Telesis Group. He was last assigned as Director of Banking Relations and Cash Management where he managed annual cash flows of one hundred billion dollars. He graduated with a B.A. from San Diego State College in 1953, and earned an M.B.A. from the University of California, Berkeley with distinction. Mr. Berry was a lifelong runner, participating in marathons and 10K races, and finishing first in his age division many times past the age of 60. He enjoyed gardening and many years of ballroom dancing with his wife and friends. Mr. Berry was preceded in death by his wife, Thelma; and his brother, William. He is survived by nieces, Lee Ann and Jennifer, and nephew, Douglas. Friends and family are invited to attend a Funeral Service on Sunday, June 22, 2008 at 1:00pm at the Colonial Chapel of Crosby-N. Gray & Co, 2 Park Rd. at El Camino Real and Peninsula Ave. in Burlingame. Entombment will be at Holy Cross Cemetery in Colma at a later date. Mr. Berry was very fond of the pets in his life. William Edward Beck Died Saturday, June 7, 2008 at his home in Burlingame, CA. Born on November 7, 1953, Mr. Beck spent his entire childhood in Highland Park, NJ. He graduated with a BA in theater arts from the University of Wisconsin, and received an MBA in business from Golden Gate University. He leaves his immediate family: his mother, Beatrice Beck of Highland Park, NJ; his brother and sister-in-law Lawrence and Anna Beck of Lafayette, CA; his brother and sister-in-law Richard and Teri Beck of East Brunswick, NJ, and many loving nieces and nephews. Mr. Beck's memorial service will be held privately.
