Evelyn A. Platt Born in San Francisco on April 12, 1922, Evelyn passed away
peacefully on June 20, 2008, surrounded by her loving family following a brief
illness. The daughter of the late Louis and Leah Rattaro, she was 86. She was
predeceased by her beloved husband of 60 years, Fred. Survived by her three
loving daughters: Diane Palermo (Ron), Denise Platt Stewart (Bill), and Adrienne
Foran (James, deceased); as well as her two devoted grandchildren, Jessica and
James Foran. She was an active member of Our Lady of Angels Catholic Church for
over 57 years. She loved playing cards, especially bridge, where she excelled,
often finishing first in her local bridge groups. Evelyn was vibrant and
beautiful, loved life, and above all else was devoted to her family. Everyone
who knew her loved her, and all of us will miss the sparkle in her eyes and her
smile that radiated so much joy. Visitation begins Monday, June 23, at the
Colonial Chapel of Crosby N. Gray, 2 Park Road, Burlingame, at 7:00 pm, followed
by a Vigil at 7:30 pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday,
June 24, at 10:00am at Our Lady of Angels, 1721 Hillside Drive, Burlingame.
Entombment to follow at Cypress Lawn in Colma.
