Willard "Bill" S. Folsom 64, passed away at Mills-Peninsula Hospital in Burlingame, CA, on Friday, June 6, 2008 after a short illness. He is survived by his wife, Roxie M. Folsom, of 42 years; his son Willard "Bill" M. Folsom of Fremont, CA; his daughter Laura and son-in-law, Michael Dierks; his three beautiful granddaughters, Ashlyn, Ainsley and Alyssa of Papillion, NE; his sister and brother-in-law, Susan and Arden Krugerud of Denver, CO; his nephew Scott Krugerud and his wife Jennifer and their two children, Libby and Max. He was preceded in death by his parents, Willard W. and Barbara Folsom and his brother James Folsom of Denver, CO. Bill was born in Sioux Fall, SD, on January 30, 1944. He grew up in Lincoln, NE, where he graduated from Southeast High School. He attended Westminster College in Fulton, MO, and graduated from the University of Nebraska in Lincoln with a bachelor of science degree in business. He received his masters degree in finance from Golden Gate University in SF, CA. He was an employee of United Airlines for 36 years. Bill spent his retirement years traveling the world in the interest of his hobby which was collecting rare single malt scotches. In his earlier years he enjoyed racing cars and was a member of the Sports Car Club of America; however he would always say that his best job was being a grandfather. He was a member of Beta Theta Pi Fraternity, Olympic Country Club and Coyote Point Yacht Club. A Memorial Service will be held on Thursday, June 12th, 11:00 a.m. at The Episcopal Church of St. Matthew, One South El Camino Real, San Mateo, CA.
