Citrus Heights man arrested on drug charges
A Citrus Heights man was arrested by a Yolo County Sheriff's deputy with slightly more than 4 ounces of meth and around $2,440 in cash near Cache Creek this past weekend.
Sgt. Lance Faille reported that while on patrol the deputy saw a 2007 white GMC truck parked on County Road 94B at Cache Creek.
His attention was drawn to the vehicle as he passed by it because there was a subject, later identified as Joseph Vnuk, 37, of Citrus Heights, crouched down in the passenger seat area, Faille reported.
The deputy "stopped to check the subject's welfare and observed signs that the Vnuk was possibly under the influence of drugs," Faille stated. "Vnuk admitted to using methamphetamine just before being contacted by the deputy and was on searchable probation from a previous conviction."
Vnuk gave his consent to be searched, during which it was discovered Vnuk was in possession of 120.66 grams, or 4.22 ounces, of methamphetamine, along with $2,443 cash, packaging materials, cutting agents and a digital scale were seized.
