(UPDATE)Burglary Suspect Identified / Arrest Warrant Issued
As reported in January, a then unidentified 53 year old transient white
female enters Gates of Heaven Cemetery and steals flowers, gifts,
trinkets, etc from gravesites. She has been seen on multiple occasions
with a white van (florist type) "full of flowers" per witnesses.
She has not been located as of yet, but detectives have identified her.
The DA has issued an arrest warrant for a felony taking from Cemetery.

Vandalism - Ainsworth Drive
Between 12:00 AM and 6:55 AM on 9/11, unknown suspect(s) splattered
paint and spray painted on the walls and ground at Stevens Creek
Elementary School on Ainsworth Drive. The total amount of damage was
about $2000.

Vehicle Burglary - Stevens Creek Boulevard
Between 12:00 PM and 2:00 PM on 9/7, unknown suspect(s) broke through
the passenger side window on a vehicle parked at Pho Linh Restaurant on.
The suspect(s) took a laptop and DVD player for a total loss of about
$1000.
Grand Theft - Valley Green Drive
Between 8:00 AM on 9/6 and 10:30 PM on 9/7, unknown suspect(s) took an
unlocked bicycle from the balcony of a residence at Valley Green
Apartments on Valley Green Drive. The bicycle was worth about $2480.
Vehicle Burglary - De Anza Boulevard
Between 6:00 PM and 6:45 PM on 9/8, unknown suspect(s) broke through the
driver's side window on a vehicle parked at Mandarin Gourmet on De
Anza Boulevard. The suspect(s) took a laptop for a total loss of about
$1800.
Vehicle Burglary - Alves Drive
Between 11:15 AM and 6:45 PM on 9/9, unknown suspect(s) broke through
the windows on two vehicles parked at YMCA on Alves Drive. The
suspect(s) took two purses containing wallets, assorted currency, a cell
phone, and two pairs of prescription glasses for a total loss of about
$1400.
(UPDATE)ARREST - Burglary
Last month, a 42 year old male, chronic shoplifter from Target was
caught walking into the store, selecting merchandise and walks out (CDs,
vacuums, etc). He was observed on 4 different occasions in 2 different
Target Stores (SJ and Cupertino). Suspect identified for all 4 events
and arrested on view at Target. The DA filed 4 counts of Commercial 2nd
degree Burglary.

(UPDATE)Burglary Suspect Identified through DNA Evidence
On May 10, 2009 a burglary occurred at Sears when the suspect smashed a
window with a rock and took jewelry worth over $100,000. A suspect has
been identified by a DNA match in CODIS from blood left at scene. The
suspect is a 43 year old male (former Parolee) out of Richmond. A
co-defendant remains unidentified. Our Case is possibly related to SJPD
"smash and grab" burglary at Macys located in the Eastridge
Mall. Investigation continuing.
(UPDATE)Suspect Convicted for 2nd Degree Burglary
Last year an 18 year old male out of Fremont was caught breaking into
Sport Action in Cupertino Square. He was stealing Tennis shoes out of
the store room. Prints were located on the boxes. A suspect was
identified, interviewed and the DA filed Warrant. The suspect took case
to trail and at Prelim Hearing took plea deal of 90 days for 2nd degree
burglary. When initially interviewed, Suspect told detective "I
will laugh in your face when this is over".

(UPDATE)Burglary Suspect Identified / Arrest Warrant Issued / In-Custody
on related charges
As reported in June, a Cupertino victim of residential Burglary lost
multiple items (iPod touch, jewelry and a Dell Laptop) over $33,000
total. Recently, San Jose PD arrested an 18 year old male from San
Jose, during an "in Progress burglary." SJPD found the
suspect's vehicle at the scene and they discovered our Cupertino
victim's property. The DA filed 1 count of possession of Stolen
property as suspect claims to have purchased items at the flea market.
Case is pending prints; hoping to add charges of residential burglary
charges

Residential Burglary - Ricardo Road
Between 11:00 AM and 1:00 PM on 9/10, unknown suspect(s) pried open a
rear door to a residence in the 22000 block of Ricardo Road. Nothing was
taken. The total amount of damage was unknown.

Vehicle Burglary - Fallenleaf Lane
Between 6:00 PM on 9/4 and 9:05 AM on 9/8, unknown suspect(s) broke
through the driver's side window on a vehicle parked in the 7000
block of Fallenleaf Lane. The suspect(s) took a GPS unit for a total
loss of about $300.
Vehicle Burglary - Annette Way and Rollingdell Drive
Between 10:30 PM on 9/7 and 10:00 AM on 9/8, unknown suspect(s) broke
through the passenger side window on a vehicle parked at Annette Way and
Rollingdell Drive. The suspect(s) took a GPS unit, assorted CDs and a
checkbook for a total loss of about $345.
(ARREST)Brandishing a Weapon - Kirwin Lane
At 7:40 PM on 9/10, the suspect brandished a weapon at the victim at a
residence in the 7000 block of Kirwin Lane. The suspect was cited and
released.
(Update)Arrest and Search Warrant Served
A 38 year old male from San Jose was a friend and former employee of the
victim. He was allowed free access to the bike store in Cupertino.
When the owner would go on bike rides with friends on Saturday mornings,
suspect would enter store using keys and the alarm code. Once inside
the suspect stole inventory to sell on eBay. Over the past 90 days
suspect had over 188 items on eBay for sale. One stolen bike frame that
was sold on eBay was located in New York and had to be returned by the
"victim buyer" to the Sheriff's Office. The suspect was
arrested and detectives served a search warrant on his residence
recovering over 80 items of evidence including stolen property valued at
over $50,000.

Vandalism - Rodrigues Avenue
Between 6:00 PM on 9/10 and 2:40 PM on 9/11, unknown suspect(s)
scratched the paint and broke both side view mirrors on a vehicle parked
at Biltmore Apartments on Rodrigues Avenue. The total amount of damage
was about $4000.
Residential Burglary - Sakura Way
Between 6:00 PM and 6:20 PM on 9/12, unknown suspect(s) entered a
residence in the 19000 block of Sakura Way through an unlocked front
door. The suspect(s) took a GPS unit, three iPods, two video game
consoles and two laptops for a total loss of about $3630.
(Update)Arrest Warrants Issued - C9 and S8
As reported 6 months ago, a 31 year old male out of North Carolina was
stealing mail from Cupertino and Saratoga. He forged checks stolen from
the mail and cashed them at 2 Cupertino Banks. Arrest Warrants issued
for 2 counts of 2nd degree Burglary
