Between 6:00 PM on 8/21 and 7:00 AM on 8/24, unknown suspect(s) damaged
the door locks on a vehicle parked in the 10000 block of Foothill
Boulevard. The total amount of damage was about $500.
Fraud (Investment Scam) - City of Cupertino
Between 2005 and 2008, the victim invested money with the suspect for a
total loss of about $200,000. The suspect fled and is at large. The
victim lives in Cupertino.

(ARREST)Misappropriation of Found Property - De Anza Boulevard and
Homestead Road
At 3:07 AM on 8/24, deputies stopped a motorist at De Anza Boulevard and
Homestead Road for a traffic violation. Subsequent investigation
revealed the driver misappropriated found property. The suspect was
cited and released.
Vehicle Burglary - Homestead Road
Between 12:00 PM on 8/23 and 8:30 AM on 8/25, unknown suspect(s) broke
through the passenger side window of a vehicle parked in the 21000 block
of Homestead Road. The suspect(s) took a GPS unit and the faceplate to
the stereo for a total loss of about $200.
Identity Theft - City of Cupertino
On 8/25, unknown suspect(s) used the victim's personal information
to make purchases on eBay for a total loss of about $1190. The products
were shipped to Oakland. The victim lives in Cupertino.

At 11:25 AM on 8/24, deputies stopped a motorist at Homestead Road and
Blaney Avenue for displaying false registration tabs. The driver was
cited and released.

Between 5:00 PM on 8/21 and 6:45 AM on 8/24, unknown suspect(s) took the
license plate from a vehicle parked at Kids Lab on Stevens Creek
Boulevard. The total amount of loss was unknown.
Grand Theft(Lottery Scam) - City of Cupertino
On 8/24, the victim sent money to the suspect(s) in Costa Rica by
Western Union to pay the taxes as a lottery winner. The victim did not
enter or win any lottery. The total amount of loss was about $3005.
Vehicle Burglary - Stevens Creek Boulevard
Between 8:20 PM and 9:55 PM on 8/28, unknown suspect(s) broke through
the passenger side window of a vehicle parked at Café Torre on
Stevens Creek Boulevard. The suspect(s) took a laptop and assorted
software for a total loss of about $2515.
(ARREST)Possession of Stolen Property/Under the Influence of a
Controlled Substance/Unlicensed Driver - Highway 280 and Stevens Creek
Boulevard
At 11:05 PM on 8/28, deputies stopped a motorist at Highway 280 and
Stevens Creek Boulevard for a traffic violation. Subsequent
investigation revealed the driver was in possession of stolen property,
under the influence of a controlled substance and unlicensed, the
suspect was arrested and booked into Main Jail.

Grand Theft - Pruneridge Avenue
Between 12/1/08 and 12/31/08, unknown suspect(s) took an unattended
laptop from a cubicle at Hewlett Packard on Pruneridge Avenue. The total
amount of loss was about $500.
Vehicle Burglary - Homestead Road
Between 8:45 PM and 9:20 PM on 8/25, unknown suspect(s) broke through
the passenger side window of a vehicle parked in the 21000 block of
Homestead Road. The suspect(s) took a laptop, iPod and a cell phone
charger for a total loss of about $1910.
(ARREST)Commercial Burglary/Theft With Priors/Conspiracy/Parole
Violation - Wolfe Road
At 4:41 PM on 8/26, three suspects took about $347 worth of store items
from JCPenney on Wolfe Road. JCPenney Loss Prevention stopped one
suspect. Deputies stopped two suspects. One suspect had priors for theft
and was on parole. The suspects were arrested and booked into Main Jail.
Attempted Commercial Burglary - Wolfe Road
At 6:45 AM on 8/27, two suspects broke into a storage shed at Cupertino
Square using an unknown method. An employee stopped the suspects. The
suspects fled and are at large. The suspects did not take anything.

(ARREST)Possession of Paraphernalia - Stevens Creek Boulevard
At 8:50 AM on 8/29, deputies responded to a call of a suspicious vehicle
parked behind Bateh Brothers Liquor Store on Stevens Creek Boulevard.
Subsequent investigation revealed the driver was in possession of
paraphernalia. The suspect was cited and released.

Attempted Residential Burglary - Rose Blossom Drive
Between 8:00 AM and 3:10 PM on 8/24, unknown suspect(s) attempted to pry
open the rear sliding glass door to a residence in the 800 block of Rose
Blossom Drive. The suspect(s) were unable to enter the residence. The
total amount of damage was unknown.
Identity Theft - City of Cupertino
On 4/24/08, unknown suspect(s) used the victim's personal
information to open a credit account in New York. The total amount of
loss was about $2490. The victim lives in Cupertino.
Credit Card Theft - City of Cupertino
Between 8/22 and 8/24, unknown suspect(s) used the victim's credit
card over the internet for a total loss of about $473. The victim lives
in Cupertino.

Between 10:30 PM on 8/23 and 7:20 AM, unknown suspect(s) entered an
unlocked vehicle parked in the 800 block of East Estates Drive. The
suspect(s) took a purse containing credit cards, a cell phone and
checkbook for a total loss of about $950.
Vandalism - Torre Avenue
Between 4:00 PM on 8/21 and 6:00 AM on 8/24, unknown suspect(s) etched
into the walls and on the mirrors inside the restrooms at Cupertino City
Hall on Torre Avenue. The total amount of damage was about $1200.
Vehicle Burglary - Stevens Creek Boulevard
Between 8:20 PM and 8:30 PM on 8/24, unknown suspect(s) broke through
the driver's side window of a vehicle parked in the 20000 block of
Stevens Creek Boulevard. The suspect(s) took two laptops, a camera and
the equipment for a total loss of about $7270.
Grand Theft - Stevens Creek Boulevard
Between 3:53 PM and 5:18 PM on 8/25, unknown suspect(s) entered an
unlocked vehicle parked in the 19000 block of Stevens Creek Boulevard.
The suspect(s) took an iPod for a total loss of about $500.
(ARREST)Possession of a Knife at School - McCellan Road
At 9:00 AM on 8/26, deputies responded to a call of school officials who
detained a student at Cupertino High School for possession of a knife.
The suspect was cited and released.
(ARREST)Commercial Burglary/Grand Theft/Possession of Controlled
Substance
Between 4/18 and 8/12, the suspect, an employee, took about $3238 worth
of prescription medication from the pharmacy at Walgreens on Bollinger
Road. Walgreens Loss Prevention stopped the suspect. The suspect was
arrested and booked into Main Jail.
(ARREST)Vandalism - Sorenson Avenue
Between 9:40 PM and 9:50 PM on 8/28, the suspect spray painted on a
vehicle parked in the 19000 block of Sorenson Avenue. The total amount
of damage was about $401. Deputies stopped the suspect. The suspect was
cited and released.
Vehicle Burglary - Bollinger Road
Between 10:15 AM and 11:50 AM on 8/30, unknown suspect(s) broke through
the passenger side window of a vehicle parked at West Valley
Presbyterian Church on Bollinger Road. The suspect(s) took a purse with
a wallet and credit cards inside for a total loss of about $510.
