Vandalism - Phar Lap Drive and Clearwood Court
At 10:18 PM on 7/26 and 12:18 AM on 7/27, unknown suspect(s) broke
the passenger side mirror and scratched the fender of a vehicle
parked at Phar Lap Drive and Clearwood Court. The total amount of
damage is about $2500.
Petty Theft - Peninsula Avenue
At 10:20 AM on 7/23, the suspect took $270 worth of appliances from
the porch of a residence in the 10000 block of Peninsula Avenue. The
suspect was arrested and booked into Main Jail.
Residential Burglary - Sweet Oak Street
Between 12:30 AM and 7:05 AM on 7/25, unknown suspect(s) entered an
open garage of a residence in the 10000 block of Sweet Oak Street.
The suspect(s) took a wallet containing cash and credit cards worth
about $45 from an unlocked vehicle in the garage.
Petty/Credit Card Theft - McClellan Road
Between 7:20 AM and 4:00 PM on 7/19, unknown suspect(s) took credit
cards from the victim's wallet located on the counter at 7-11 on
McClellan Road. The suspect(s) used the credit cards in San Jose for
a total loss of about $5587.
Recovered Stolen Vehicle - Homestead Road
At 3:21 PM on 7/25, deputies responded to a call of an abandoned
vehicle at Village Green Apartments on Homestead Road. Subsequent
investigation recovered a stolen vehicle from San Jose. The vehicle
was towed.
Vehicle Burglary - De Anza Boulevard
Between 8:50 AM and 3:45 PM on 7/21, unknown suspect(s) broke through
the passenger window of a vehicle parked at St. Joseph Church on De
Anza Boulevard. The suspect(s) took a tote bag containing knitting
needles worth about $40.
Grand Theft - Infinite Loop
Between 11:00 AM and 5:45 PM on 7/22, unknown suspect(s) took the
catalytic converter from a vehicle parked at Apple Computer on 1
Infinite Loop. The converter was worth about $1200.
Vehicle Burglary - Wolfe Road
Between 7:00 PM and 10:00 PM on 7/22, unknown suspect(s) broke
through the passenger window of a vehicle parked at Bank of the West
on Wolfe Road. The suspect(s) took a briefcase, laptop, passport and
cash for a total loss of about $3150.
DUI - Empress Court
At 11:52 PM on 7/24, deputies responded to a call in the 6000 block
of Empress Court for a citizen's arrest. Subsequent investigation
resulted in the arrest of the driver for driving under the influence
of alcohol.
Robbery/Grand Theft - Wolfe Road
At 10:55 PM on 7/25, two suspects grabbed a purse from the victim's
hands in front of Guan Dong House restaurant on Wolfe Road. The
suspects fled the scene and are at large. The purse contained a cell
phone and credit cards for a total loss of about $600.
***On 7/29, our wonderful deputies were able to identify the suspects
in the 7/25 purse snatch robbery in front of the Guan Dong House.
One of the suspects was arrested and booked, the other remains at
large.
Vehicle Burglary - Pruneridge Avenue
Between 10:30 PM on 7/22 and 9:30 AM on 7/23, unknown suspect(s) used
a shaved key to enter a vehicle parked at Arioso Apartments on
Pruneridge Avenue. The suspect(s) took a comforter worth about $25.
Vehicle Burglary - Wolfe Road
Between 1:25 PM and 1:45 PM on 7/23, unknown suspect(s) entered a
vehicle parked at Cupertino Square on Wolfe Road using an unknown
method. The suspect(s) took the vehicle's stereo worth about $250.
Petty Theft - Pruneridge Avenue
Between 6:00 PM on 7/22 and 8:30 AM on 7/23, unknown suspect(s)
entered an unlocked vehicle parked at Arioso Apartments on Pruneridge
Avenue. The suspect(s) took a DVD, sunglasses, jumper cables and an
air compressor for a total loss of about $106.
Commercial Burglary - Cupertino Square
Between 9:15 PM on 7/23 and 7:05 AM on 7/24, unknown suspect(s) cut a
hole in the security gate of Sterling City in Cupertino Square. The
suspect(s) took about $2800 worth of Zippo lighters.
Petty Theft - Pruneridge Avenue
Between 9:00 AM on 7/23 and 7:30 PM on 7/24, unknown suspect(s) took
a locked bicycle from Arioso Apartments on Pruneridge Avenue. The
bicycle was worth about $259.
Petty Theft - Tantau Avenue
Between 10:00 AM and 7:30 PM on 7/24, unknown suspect(s) took an
unlocked bicycle from Hewlett Packard on Tantau Avenue. The bicycle
was worth about $70.
Vehicle Burglary - Wolfe Road
Between 12:40 PM and 3:15 PM on 7/27, unknown suspect(s) broke
through the passenger window of a vehicle parked at Cupertino Square
on Wolfe Road. The suspect(s) took a GPS unit worth about $700.
Vehicle Burglary - Wolfe Road
Between 12:40 PM and 3:15 PM on 7/27, unknown suspect(s) broke
through the passenger window of a vehicle parked at Vallco Shopping
Mall on Wolfe Road. The suspect(s) took a GPS unit worth about $500.
Residential Burglary - Stevens Canyon Road
Between 8:55 AM and 12:00 PM on 7/22, unknown suspect(s) entered a
residence in the 10000 block of Stevens Canyon Road by breaking
through the font door. The suspect(s) took computers, televisions,
and a stereo for a total loss of about $5900.
Stolen Vehicle - Noonan Court and Orange Avenue
Between 1:00 PM on 7/21 and 10:30 AM on 7/22, unknown suspect(s)
stole a vehicle parked at Noonan Court and Orange Avenue. The vehicle
had an unknown value.
Grand Theft - Lilac Way
Between 12:30 AM on 7/23 and 12:30 AM on 7/24, unknown suspect(s)
entered an unlocked vehicle parked in the 7000 block of Lilac Way.
The suspect(s) took a CD case, portable CD player and a recorder for
a total loss of about $925.
Forgery - City of Cupertino
On 7/20, unknown suspect(s) forged a check in the victim's name in
Los Angeles. The check was for $6500. The victim lives in Cupertino.
Recovered Stolen Vehicle - Leeds Avenue
At 6:15 PM on 7/26, deputies responded to a call of an abandoned
vehicle at Hoover Park on Leeds Avenue. Subsequent investigation
recovered a stolen vehicle from Sunnyvale. The vehicle was towed.
Stolen Vehicle/Reckless Evading/Possession of Stolen Property - Bubb
Road and Stevens Creek Boulevard
At 4:59 AM on 7/27, after a short pursuit, deputies stopped a
motorist near Bubb Road and Stevens Creek Boulevard for a traffic
violation. Subsequent investigation revealed the driver was driving a
stolen vehicle and recklessly evading, the passengers were in
possession of stolen property. Two suspects were arrested and booked
into Main Jail, three suspects were cited and released to their
parents.
Stolen Vehicle - Bonny Drive
Between 6:00 PM on 7/25 and 7:00 AM on 7/26, unknown suspect(s) stole
a vehicle parked in the 10000 block of Bonny Drive. The vehicle had
an unknown value.
Attempted Stolen Vehicle/Tampering with a Vehicle - Stevens Creek
Boulevard
Between 9:00 AM and 6:15 PM on 7/21, unknown suspect(s) drilled out
the ignition on a motorcycle parked at Cupertino City Center on
Stevens Creek Boulevard. The suspect(s) was unable to steal the
motorcycle. The total amount of damage was about $500.
Unauthorized Garbage Collection/Business License Required - Lucille
Avenue and Villa de Anza Boulevard
At 12:27 PM on 7/22, code enforcement responded to a call of an
unauthorized garbage collection box in the parking lot at Lucille
Avenue and Villa de Anza Boulevard. A warning sticker was placed on
the box. The suspect(s) is at large.
Grand Theft - City of Cupertino
On 7/6, an unknown suspect hired the victim over the internet and
deposited about $1981 into the victim's bank account. The victim
withdrew the money and sent it to China at the request of the
suspect. The money was never actually deposited causing the victim's
account to be overdrawn. The victim lives in Cupertino.
Hate Crime - Shadygrove Court
Between 7:00 PM and 11:30 PM on 7/23, unknown suspect(s) wrote racial
slurs on a vehicle parked in the 6000 block of Shadygrove Court. The
victim erased the slurs.
