Police Blotter for the city of Cupertino (8/11/2008 - 8/17/2008) Print E-mail

Vehicle Burglary - Stevens Creek Boulevard
Between 7:00 PM and 8:00 PM on 8/12, unknown suspect(s) broke through
the passenger window of a vehicle parked in the 20000 block of
Stevens Creek Boulevard. The suspect(s) took a laptop and case and
two checkbooks for an unknown value.

Arson - Homestead Road
At 4:20 PM on 8/13, deputies responded to a fire at Garden
Grove/Villa Serra Apartments on Homestead Road. Subsequent
investigation revealed the fire was arson. The fire damaged a small
portion of the complex for a total loss of about $2000.

Credit Card Theft - City of Cupertino
Between 7/27 and 7/30, unknown suspect(s) used the victim's credit
card to make purchases on the internet for about $858. The victim
lives in Cupertino.

Misuse of a Disabled Person's Placard - Stevens Creek Boulevard
At 12:50 PM on 8/17, deputies contacted the driver of a vehicle at
Target on Stevens Creek Boulevard. Subsequent investigation revealed
the driver parked in a disabled parking space using a disabled
placard without being or transporting a disabled person. The suspect
was cited and released.

Petty Theft - Homestead Road
At 8:15 PM on 8/17, three unknown suspects took about $50 worth of
store items from Rite Aid on Homestead Road. The suspects fled and
are at large.

 

Residential Burglary - Prune Tree Lane
Between 10:00 AM and 8:10 PM on 8/11, unknown suspect(s) entered a
residence in the 10000 block of Prune Tree Lane through an open
window. The suspect(s) took two laptops, two cell phones with
chargers, a computer mouse and a printer cable for a total loss of
about $2589.

Residential Burglary - Colby drive
Between 9:00 PM on 8/10 and 11:30 AM on 8/13, unknown suspect(s)
entered a residence in the 10000 block of Colby drive using an
unknown method of entry. The suspect(s) took jewelry and cash for a
total loss of about $15040.

Petty Theft - Wolfe Road
Between 11:10 AM and 2:40 PM on 8/12, unknown suspect(s) entered an
unlocked vehicle parked at Vallco Mall on Wolfe Road. The suspect(s)
took a purse and a wallet and a Mexican Passport for a total loss of
about $325.

Vehicle Burglary - Wolfe Road
Between 2:45 PM and 4:45 PM on 8/13, unknown suspect(s) entered a
vehicle parked at J.C. Penny's on Wolfe Road using an unknown method.
The suspect(s) took two laptops with the cases, a wallet, checkbooks
and a cell phone for a total loss of about $4600.

Vehicle Burglary - Wolfe Road
Between 7:00 PM and 8:30 PM on 8/13, unknown suspect(s) broke through
the passenger window of a vehicle parked at Cupertino Village on
Wolfe Road. The suspect(s) took a GPS unit, an iPhone and a camera
for a total loss of about $1200.

Grand Theft - Wolfe Road
At 12:55 PM on 8/14, an unknown suspect took the victim's laptop from
a table at Starbucks Coffee on Wolfe Road when the victim stepped
away for a few minutes. The laptop was worth about $1500. The suspect
fled and is at large.

Vehicle Burglary - Wolfe Road
Between 12:50 PM and 3:30 PM on 8/15, unknown suspect(s) broke
through the passenger window of a vehicle parked at Cupertino Square
on Wolfe Road. The suspect(s) took a Bible and the bag for a total
loss of about $300.

Vehicle Burglary - Wolfe Road
Between 2:00 PM and 4:45 PM on 8/15, unknown suspect(s) broke through
the passenger window of a vehicle parked at Cupertino Square on Wolfe
Road. The suspect(s) took a Nintendo DS with ten games, an iPod and
cell phone for a total loss of about $875.

Vandalism - West Hill Court
Between 2:15 AM and 8:30 AM on 8/13, unknown suspect(s) broke the
driver's side window of a vehicle parked in the 1000 block of West
Hill Court. The total amount of damage was about $400.

Residential Burglary - Ricardo Road
Between 12:00 PM and 4:15 PM on 8/16, unknown suspect(s) entered a
residence in the 22000 block of Ricardo Road by breaking the front
door. The suspect(s) took a television worth about $2932. 

Recovered Stolen Vehicle - Rainbow Drive
At 11:50 AM on 8/12, deputies responded to a call of a found stolen
vehicle at Rainbow Drive and Poppy Way. The vehicle was stolen from
San Jose. The suspect is at large.

Vandalism - McClellan Road
Between 4:00 PM on 8/1 and 8:00 AM on 8/4, unknown suspect(s) spray
painted words in several different locations at Monta Vista High
School on McClellan Road. The total amount of damage was unknown.

Receiving Stolen Property - Fallen Leaf Lane
Between 6/16 and 7/26, the suspect reshipped stolen merchandise from
the 7000 block of Fallen Leaf Lane to another suspect in Africa. The
stolen merchandise was purchased with stolen credit cards from
Ireland to Texas and varied from jewelry to electronics worth an
unknown amount. The suspect was arrested and booked into Main Jail.

Vehicle Burglary - Rainbow Drive
Between 9:00 PM on 8/16 and 11:50 AM on 8/17, unknown suspect(s)
broke through the passenger window of a vehicle parked in the 7000
block of Rainbow Drive. The suspect(s) took a bag containing about 35
harmonicas for a total loss of about $1000.

Criminal Threats/Brandishing a Deadly Weapon - Miller Avenue
At 10:50 PM on 8/14, the suspect pointed a knife and threatened the
victim at Creekside Park on Miller Avenue. The suspect was arrested
and booked in Juvenile Hall.
