Cupertino’s is widely recognized for its K-12 public schools and the community college. The high standards of the public schools have been recognized repeatedly with California Distinguished School and National Blue Ribbon School awards. The city’s children attend 20 elementary schools and five middle schools in the Cupertino Union School District. Teenagers attend five high schools in the Fremont Union High School District Fremont Union High School District. Serving more than 9,000 students, this 42-square-mile district encompasses Cupertino plus portions of five other cities. Some of Cupertino’s high school graduates continue their education at acclaimed De Anza Community College, with over 25,000 students. Among California community colleges, De Anza consistently ranks top for number of students who transfer to University of California and California State University campuses. |
