KLOSTERMAN, SR., Edward Edward Klosterman Sr. of Glendale
passed away July 2nd, 2009 after a long illness with ALS. Edward was born
January 13, 1925 in St. Louis, MO to Walter Elliot and Minnette Sabor. He
started college at the University of Washington, but left to serve in the United
States Navy during WWII. Klosterman completed his education at UCLA. In 1951 he
joined the FBI until 1955. When assigned to the field office in Florence, S.C.
he met his wife JoAnne. They were married 56 years. Ed started Shield Security
Guard Company in 1964. He enjoyed many years of golf at Wilshire Country Club
with friends, especially the trips to Hawaii with Wilshire couples. The
Klostermans shared many trips aboard. Ed enjoyed his associating with the
Beverly Hills Navy League and X-FBI. He is survived by his wife, JoAnne, and two
sons: son, Edward Jr. and his wife, Colleen and their daughters Katherine,
Kelly, Emily, Katie and Megan; son, Kenneth Gregg and his wife, Kimberly and
their children Cooper and Kennedy. Ed is also survived by his brother and
sister, Dr. Robert Klosterman and Sally Vigil. He is preceded in death by his
brother, Elliot. A memorial service will be held at 10:30 a.m., Friday, July
10th at Grandview Presbyterian Church, 1130 Ruberta Ave., Glendale, CA 91201.
The service will be led by his friend Dr. Ken Reynen. A reception will follow.
Ed will be missed by his family and friends but is at peace with God. In lieu of
flowers, donation in his memory may be sent to you favorite charity.
