ROBERT CLUTE BALLOU Of Glendale, passed away on August 30 at the age of 84. He
is survived by his wife of 67 years, Evelyn Ballou; by his son, Les and wife
Becky; and his grandson, Jeffrey. Born in Springville, Iowa, Bob joined the U.S.
Navy in 1941, serving in the Pacific in World War II on the destroyer U.S.S.
Ross. He worked for the City of Glendale, retiring in 1988. Bob was active in
the Glendale Elks Lodge for many years, and served as Exalted Ruler in 1976-77
and 1992-93. A memorial service and luncheon will be held on Thursday, September
10 at noon at the Glendale Elks Lodge, 120 East Colorado Boulevard, Glendale. In
lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Glendale Elks Lodge No. 1289 Major
Projects Fund.
