Jacqueline Claire Zaro Adams 66, of Los Gatos passed away at
her home April 6th from cancer. She was surrounded by loved ones. Born Dec 15,
1942 to Nick and Grace Zaro, Jacqui attended Campbell High and graduated from
Del Mar High School in 1960. She went on to earn a Bachelor's degree from SJSU
and a Master's degree in Art History from the University of Wisconsin. She
married her high school sweetheart in 1967 and was a devoted working mother.
Jacqui had a great love and appreciation for all the arts. She taught art
history at De Anza College and led art tours through Europe and Egypt. In 1978
she started her own interior design business, J.Adams Interiors. Sharing a
design studio in Saratoga for nearly 30 years, she created a family among her
colleagues. Upon learning of her illness, Jacqui was determined to enjoy every
moment she had left. She spent her last year with her loved ones and revisited
the places she loved most, her house in Kona and the Montana lake cabin. She
will be remembered as hardworking, intelligent, outgoing, sophisticated, stylish
and for her passion for good design, all in one little package. "Concentrated"
she liked to say. Jacqui is survived by her loving companion, Gordon McDonald;
her daughters Allison Shaw and Heather Clement, their father Bill Adams, their
husbands Tim Shaw and Jason Clement; and her grandchildren Nicholas and Erika
Shaw. She requested that rather than donations or flowers, friends should simply
"grab someone they love and go make a memory." Services will be held at the
Flint Center on April 25th at 1:00 PM. Arrangements by Darling-Fischer Chapel of
the Hills in Los Gatos.
