LAURA BISPO TRIMBUR 1920 ~ 2009 Laura Trimbur (nee Brughelli) passed away
peacefully, surrounded by loving family and friends, on Sunday, November 1,
2009. Born to James and Lucille Brughelli - part of a large extended family of
ranchers who made their way to the Central Valley after emigrating from
Switzerland in the early 1900's. She was a lifelong resident of Modesto, a
graduate of Modesto High School's Class of '38. She was also a member of St
Stanislaus & Our Lady of Fatima parishes, the Young Ladies Institute, Del
Rio Golf & Country Club, and Young At Heart, as well as numerous charitable
and volunteer organizations. Following a 40 year marriage to Louis Bispo, who
died in 1983, she was married to John M. Trimbur until his death in 2006. She
devoted her life to loving her family, serving others, and most recently cooking
for her faithful and devoted dog. She is survived by daughter Jeanette Lascoumes
Friedman and loving granddaughter & son-in-law Catherine & Adam
Schneider all of New York City. She also leaves stepchildren Catherine Trimbur
of Berkeley & John Trimbur of Cranston, Rhode Island, brother &
sister-in-law James & Lorraine Brughelli of Modesto, niece Linda Brughelli
of Sacramento, nephews US Navy Cmdr John David Brughelli of Newport , and James
Brughelli of Modesto, and numerous extended family & friends. She was
predeceased by her loving sister Lillian Brughelli, in 1993. Recitation of the
Rosary: Wednesday, Nov 4th at 6:00pm, Franklin & Downs-Mc-Henry Chapel, 1050
McHenry Avenue. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place Thurs., Nov. 5th at
10:00 am at Old St Stanislaus Church, 709 J Street, Modesto, followed by
interment in Saint Stanislaus Cemetery, Scenic Drive. In lieu of flowers, the
family has requested contributions to: The Laura Trimbur Scholarship Fund for St
