Richard Moncher Resident of Oakland Richard Moncher, aged 91 years young, and
greatly loved by many, went home to be with our Lord on Friday, September 25,
2009. He leaves behind his beloved wife of sixty-eight years, Josephine and
three children: Gary, Sharon and John as well as daughters-in-law Yanira and
Sharon Moncher and son-in-law Wes Barta. Papa was much loved by his six
grandchildren, four great-grandchildren and his faith community of Christian
Cathedral and Patten University. Visitation will be held September 30, 2009 at
Chapel of the Chimes, 4499 Piedmont Ave., Oakland, CA between 5 - 8 pm. Funeral
service will be held October 1, 2009 at 11:00am at Christian Cathedral, 2433
Coolidge Ave., Oakland, CA. In lieu of flowers, the family has asked that
donations be made to Patten University scholarship fund or Christian Cathedral
benevolence fund.
