Chan Tong Bertha Louise Chan Tong passed away peacefully on September 1, 2008 at age 91. She was the beloved wife of the late Sherman Shounin Tong, the devoted mother Alan Brian Tong and Linda Louise tong, and loving grandmother of Vivian Louise Tong. She is also survived by her sisters, Janet Chan Lee, Eleanor Lurn McGill and Madelene Chan Wong; and her brother, Alvin B. Chan; and many nieces and nephews. A Funeral Service will be held at the Albert Brown Mortuary at 11:00 am on Friday, Sept. 5, 2008, followed by a burial ceremony at the Mountain View Cemetery, Oakland. Memorials may be made in Bertha's name to the Chinese Community United Methodist Church at 321 8th St., Oakland, CA 94607 or to the Alzheimer's Association at 1060 La Avenida St., Mountain View, CA 94043.
