Two women arrested for shoplifting in Folsom

The Folsom Police Department has reported that two holiday shoplifters were arrested over the weekend after they stole a leather jacket at the Folsom Premium Outlets and were later found to have over $3,800 in stolen goods in their car.

Officers responded to the outlets after a retailer reported two women had stolen a jacket from a display, according to a Folsom Police Department release.

An officer spotted the suspect vehicle leaving the parking lot and attempted to stop the vehicle, the release states. The driver refused to stop, leading officers on a slow 1.5-mile pursuit.

The driver eventually stopped, and officers found more than $3,800 in stolen jewelry, bath wares and clothing from stores throughout the Sacramento area, according to the release.

Mauricea Vale, 20, of Sacramento, was arrested and booked into the Sacramento County Main Jail on suspicion of multiple theft-related charges, false representation to a police officer and reckless evasion. She is ineligible for bail.

Jessica Galloway, 27, of Antioch, was arrested for possession of stolen property and false representation to a police officer. She was cited and released, according to the release.
