Felix L. Martinez, 45, of Salinas, passed away Saturday, Oct. 31, 2009, in
Salinas.
He was born Jan. 24, 1964, in Pacoima. Felix graduated from North
Monterey County High School. He was an avid San Francisco 49'rs, Los Angeles
Lakers, and San Francisco Giants Fan. Having a passion for sports, Felix enjoyed
umpiring girl's Bobby Sox softball. He was a devoted family man. He especially
enjoyed spending time with his family and will be missed by
all.
Survivors: Wife, Ofie Martinez of the family home in Salinas;
children, Felix Martinez, Jr. of Hollister, Adrian Martinez of Hollister,
Jonathan Martinez of Hollister, Lisa Marie Martinez of Hollister, Christopher
Delgado of Soledad, Miranda Martinez of Salinas and Jesse Ballesteros of
Salinas; parents, Felicitas Martinez of Castroville and Frank Martinez of
Salinas; sisters, Carmen Perez of Salinas and Felicita "Chay" Dunn of Salinas;
brothers, Frank Martinez, Jr. of Soledad, Arnold Martinez of Castroville and
Andrae Martinez of Castroville; along with numerous aunts, uncles, nieces,
nephews, cousins and close friends.
Visitation: From 1 to 9 p.m.
Thursday, Nov. 5, at Templo de Rosa Saron, 826 N. Sanborn Road, Salinas.

Church.

Lolita Eleuteria Dovolis, 74, of Salinas, passed away Tuesday, Sept. 29, 2009,
after a brief illness.
She was born Nov. 13, 1934, in El Centro. She was the
youngest of eight children born to her parents, Eleuteria and Bonifacio
Vinfrido. After graduating from Central Union High School, she immediately went
to Beauty College and on to owning and running a very successful, popular beauty
salon in El Centro. After marrying, she moved to Salinas during the 1950's.
There she raised her beloved sons, Kash and Angelo Dovolis.
Lolita worked in
the beauty business, never retiring, her entire life. She loved her customers
and fellow beauticians and the energy of the work. Classic Impressions in
Salinas was her last place of employment. Lolita was loyal to friends, committed
to family, industrious in work, mischievous when the opportunity arose but most
of all she was loved dearly. Her absence will leave a permanent ache in the
hearts of those touched by her.
She enjoyed playing bridge, cutting hair,
taking new classes, cooking fabulous family meals and especially going to the
movies with her granddaughter, Nicole. Lolita was a member of the Active
Seniors, Inc., American Contract Bridge League and the Carmel Foundation.
Lolita and her sisters were all solid anchors for their
families.
Survivors: She is survived by her son, Angelo Dovolis of
Salinas; grandchildren, Nicole and Dalton Dovolis of Salinas; brother, Barney
Vinfrido of El Centro, and numerous nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in
death by her parents, Bonifacio and Eleuteria Vinfrido; her beloved son, Kash;
sisters, Anita Zdravecky, Carmen Johnson, Virginia Rogers and Helena Oswalt; and
brothers, Angelo Vinfrido and Simon Vinfrido.
Visitation: From 1 to 6
p.m. Thursday, Oct. 8, at Struve & Laporte Chapel, 41 West San Luis St.,
Salinas.
Rosary: 6 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 8, at Struve & Laporte
Chapel.
Funeral Mass: 2 p.m. Friday, Oct. 9, at St. Joseph's Church,
1 Railroad Ave., Spreckels.
Burial: Will take place at Garden of
Memories Cemetery, 850 Abbott St., Salinas.

SALINAS
Guadalupe Zapata Guzman, 52, of Salinas, passed away
Tuesday, Sept. 22, 2009, in Salinas.
She was born Sept. 30, 1956, in Reynosa
Tamaulipas, Mexico. Guadalupe was a loving mother, grandmother and a hard worker
dedicated to helping those that needed her assistance. She was loved by many and
will be missed by all.
Survivors: Husband, Jesus Guzman of the family
home in Salinas; son, Ricardo Guzman of Salinas; daughter, Veronica Guzman of
Salinas; sister, Esther and Miguel Beas of Salinas; brothers, Antonio and
Guadalupe Gallardo of Mexico, Dimas and Manuela Zapata of Texas, Jesus Zapata of
Texas, and Miguel Zapata of Mexico; two grandchildren; along with numerous
nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by both parents, two sisters
and two brothers.
