JOAN GODSEY Age 85, of San Bernardino, passed away on Oct. 29,
2009, due to cervical cancer, with her family at her side. She was born Oct. 23,
1924, in Reese, Kansas to Edgar and Rachel Hull. Joan, along with her husband,
Virgil owned and operated Red Barn Furniture in San Bdno. until they closed the
business and sold the building to Calvary Chapel in 1983. She enjoyed life and
her family. She and her husband were always tra veling in their motorhome. After
Virgil passed Joan continued to take trips. She was an avid Laker's fan. She
looked forward to the start of basketball season and could be found in front of
the TV cheering on Kobe and the Laker team. Preceded in death by her parents,
husband, 2 brothers, 2 sisters and 3 step sons. Joan is survived by her daughter
and son-in-law, Candy and Steve Landry of Fontana; 7 Grandchildren; and 15 Great
Grandchildren. At Joan's request there will be no memorial service.

EMILY M. BARAJAS Age 81, a lifetime resident of San Bernardino,
passed away Saturday, September 19, 2009, with her family by her side. She was a
woman of God and is now an Angel in Heaven. She graduated from SBHS in 1946, and
attended SBVC and was a Teacher's Aide for 20 years in San Bernardino. She was a
kind hearted person who always thought of others before herself. She enjoyed
bowling, watching movies, being with family at gatherings, traveling, and
especially loved her cats. She is survived by two sons, Anthony Barajas of San
Bernardino, Cruz Barajas Jr. of Highland; four daughters, Shirley Hernandez of
Victorville, Georgia Marie Bittner of Highland, Betty Perez of Colton, Doreen
Barajas of San Bernardino; and a brother, George Murillo of Highland; 16
grandchildren; 34 great grandchildren; 3 great great grand children; nephews,
nieces, cousins, and numerous friends. Viewing will be from 4 P.M. - 8 P.M.,
Sunday, Sept. 27 , 2009, at Montecito Memorial Park in Colton. Funeral Service
at 9 A.M. on Monday, Sept. 28, 2009, at Montecito Memorial Park in Colton.
