Marilyn I. Howard 1939 - 2008 Passed away after a year-long illness on August 21, 2008 surrounded by her family and friends. Marilyn is survived by her sons Gary (Leia) and Craig (Jackie); and three grandchildren, Tanya, Tara and Craig. She is also survived by her brothers Jack (Tudy), Mike (Linda) and Bob (Dede) and her sister Lauri (Bob). Marilyn was loved by her nieces and nephews, Jack, Erin, Bryan, Christian and Zachary. Marilyn was born on August 14, 1939 in San Francisco to John and Lucille Carney. She attended Notre Dame High School in Belmont and later graduated from San Jose State University. Marilyn retired as a sergeant in the San Mateo County Sheriffs Office after 35 years of service. She was a proud member of the San Mateo County Sheriffs Association. Marilyn was a thoughtful, generous person who was devoted to her family and friends. She will be remembered fondly by all who knew her and whose lives she touched. Friends are invited to attend a Funeral Mass on Wednesday, August 27, 2008 at 12:00 pm at St. Charles Church, 880 Tamarack Ave., San Carlos. A private family Interment will be held at Alta Mesa Memorial Park.
