Robert E. Berry September 8, 1931 - June 8, 2008 A resident of San Mateo County for over 40 years, Robert Berry, 76, passed away in his home on Sunday morning. Diagnosed with Alzheimer's in 2006, Mr. Berry spent a peaceful last year enjoying the continued company of beloved old friends. Mr. Berry was retired after having spent 32 years of service with Pacific Telesis Group. He was last assigned as Director of Banking Relations and Cash Management where he managed annual cash flows of one hundred billion dollars. He graduated with a B.A. from San Diego State College in 1953, and earned an M.B.A. from the University of California, Berkeley with distinction. Mr. Berry was a lifelong runner, participating in marathons and 10K races, and finishing first in his age division many times past the age of 60. He enjoyed gardening and many years of ballroom dancing with his wife and friends. Mr. Berry was preceded in death by his wife, Thelma; and his brother, William. He is survived by nieces, Lee Ann and Jennifer, and nephew, Douglas. Friends and family are invited to attend a Funeral Service on Sunday, June 22, 2008 at 1:00pm at the Colonial Chapel of Crosby-N. Gray & Co, 2 Park Rd. at El Camino Real and Peninsula Ave. in Burlingame. Entombment will be at Holy Cross Cemetery in Colma at a later date. Mr. Berry was very fond of the pets in his life. David Nyberg Born on June 10, 1928 in Camas, WA, David Nyberg died peacefully of
natural causes in his apartment in San Mateo, CA, on June 8, 2008 at the age of
79. Dave, the son of Adolf and Alice, was born and raised in Camas, WA, where he
met his lifelong love and wife, Gara, who passed away early last year. He joined
the Army in 1946-47, honorably served in Korea, and attended Oregon State
University for eight years, earning his Ph.D. in chemistry in 1956. Dave worked
for Shell Oil Corp. for 10 years and then moved his family from Los Angeles to
Sunnyvale, CA, to begin a challenging but rewarding career at Raychem
Corporation in 1966. At Raychem Dave found his niche, earning 13 patents,
developing many important products, and a place as a charter member of the
Raychem Technical Hall of Fame. He was a generous contributor with Gara to many
liberal causes and served with Gara in the Environmental Volunteers. Dave was a
sensitive father, had a great sense of humor, was a genuine intellectual, and
loved life and his family. He is survived by his sons: Eric and Neal;
daughters-in-law, Jody and Debbie; and his four grandchildren: Tori, Patrick,

Anita Martin Beloved daughter of Angelo and Catherine Sangalli, loving mother of
Michelle Martin; caring sister of George Sangalli, devoted aunt of the Keenan
family, the Olague family and Michael Sangalli; she is also survived by many
extended family members living throughout the Bay Area. She was generous and a
kind friend to many. Anita died on Saturday June 7, 2008 in the company of
family and friends. Anita was born on February 13, 1941 in San Francisco, CA.
She spent the majority of her life in San Mateo County, residing in San Bruno.
Anita attended St Robert's Elementary School and Mercy High School, Burlingame.
Anita was a much respected nurse in several hospitals including Cordilleras and
most recently the V.A. Hospital in Palo Alto. She is remembered fondly by
patients and co-workers alike. Known to her friends and family as an avid and
faithful fan of the SF Giants, SF 49ers and more recently the Oakland Raiders.
Anita is loved and will be missed by all.
