Jeane Chambers Bulotti Widow of Charles F. Bulotti Jr. Born Peoria, IL, June 22, 1921, died September 30, 2008. Came to California in 1929 when her father was made western manager of the five-year-old Caterpillar Tractor Company. Attended Lincoln Grammar School and Alameda High School, graduating from Anna Head School in Berkeley before going to Stanford, where she was a member the Alpha Phi sorority and Cap and Gown Honor Society. Jeane worked briefly for the Naval Aviation Cadet Selection Board in San Francisco before her marriage in February 1943. The couple were in Boston, Miami and East Port Orchard, Washington, as Charles finished naval training before his ship sailed out of Bremerton in December. At war's end, they lived in San Francisco and moved to San Mateo in 1953. Jeane was active in many volunteer activities, being an early president of the Little Children's Aid Junior Auxiliary, and editor of the Junior League magazine. As chairman of the League's San Mateo unit she was a founding member of what is now Coyote Point Museum. She was a longtime Girl Scout leader, an instigator of the Burlingame Friends of the Library, and at the time her death was still active in the Hillsborough auxiliary to Poplar-Recare and remained an emeritus member of the Junior League. She is survived by her children Suzanne Sutherland (Jerry) of Sacramento, Carla Newbre of Eugene, OR, and Richard Bulotti (Linda) of Nevada City; seven grandchildren, Timothy Sutherland, Elizabeth Hubert, Andrew Sutherland, Thomas Newbre, Peter Sutherland, Midge Newbre, and Elena Bulotti; and seven great-grandchildren, Mary Hubert, Sarah Hubert, Eleanore Sutherland, Davin Sutherland, Charles Whitten, Joseph Sutherland and Samuel Sutherland. Memorial service to be held at a later date.
