Jeanne Welch Entered into rest after a brief illness on July 23, 2008.
Beloved mother of Laurel Landes, Susan Landes Gray and Evan Welch.
Jeanne worked for Bohannon Development Company for many years and
retired at the age of 77. She enjoyed extensive worldwide travel.
Jeanne was born in The Bronx, NY, on April 9,1926 to Grace Eitel and
Robert Smith. She grew up in Thomes River, NJ. Jeanne married George
Landes in New York on July 13, 1949. They moved out west to Tucson, AZ,
in 1959 in the proverbial station wagon with their two small girls in
tow. Jeanne later married Jason Welch in 1962 and they made their home
in California before his job took Jeanne and their son Evan and
daughter Susan to Puerto Rico, Philippines and Indonesia. She is deeply
missed by her family and friends. Jeanne's memorial will be held at 1
pm. on Saturday Sept. 20th at First Presbyterian Church of San Mateo,
194 W. 25th Ave., 650-345-1633.
