DJORDJE (GEORGE) FRANOVIC long time resident of Greenwich, passed away October 26, 2008 at Greenwich Hospital. He was born in Belgrade, Serbia on May 17, 1955. He received his BS and MS at Columbia University and his MBA from Pace University, in New York , NY. Prior to building a successful real estate business in Paterson New Jersey, George was a Vice President with the Scandinavian Bank of NY. George loved spending time with family and friends. He is survived by his mother, Vasilja Franovic of Greenwich, his brother, Mladen (Mike) Franovic and his wife Karen (Siminky) Franovic of Stamford, nephews Michael Vincent and Matthew Raymond, and significant other Barbara Jean (BJ) Neff of San Mateo, CA. He is predeceased by his father Veljko Franovic. In lieu of flowers, please send a donation to St. Jude's Children's Hospital. A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Thursday, October 30, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. at St Michael's Church, 347 North St., Greenwich. Interment will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery, Greenwich, CT. Friends may call at the Gallagher Funeral Home, 31 Arch St., Greenwich on Wednesday, October 29, 2008 from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.
