Edith Irene Krueger Shoup ("Edie"), 91, of Gibsonia (Pittsburgh) PA, Largo FL, and San Mateo CA, passed away peacefully on August 28, 2008. Edie was a graduate of the University of Pittsburgh in English and Psychology, and enjoyed teaching, writing, and volunteering. She was the daughter of Rev. Dr. Otto and Alma Krueger, and widow of Wallace R. Shoup ("Bud"), who passed away in 1968. She is survived by her children Dr. Richard Shoup of San Jose, and Judy Sharp (Meyer) of Palm Springs, 4 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren, and beloved friend Don Lopez. Edie was a loving wife and mother, and had a long and healthy life. Her family and friends will miss her deeply. A memorial gathering will be held Friday, September 12 at 2:00 pm at the Park Towers senior apartments, 700 Laurel Avenue in San Mateo. Donations may be made in her memory to the Dave Thomas Foundation for Adoption (www.davethomasfoundation.org).
