Librada "Libby" DeMarchena
October 1921 - January 2009 Native of the Dominican Republic and resident of San Mateo, CA, Libby DeMarchena passed away peacefully on January 1st 2009 due to complications from surgery. Beloved wife of Ramon DeMarchena; loving mother of Carlos (Joanne), Luis (Myrna), and Ines (Robert); cherished Grandmother of Leah, Carly, Anna, Allison, Nathan, Alyssa, Gracie, and Matteo. Libby was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She was a selfless, caring person. Devoted to her family, friends, and all those that needed her; including her Hispanic friends from the Senior Center in San Mateo. Libby was blessed with a love for life and for people. She will be forever remembered for her strength, her gentle soul, and her sweet smile. Memorial services will be held on Wednesday, January 14th 10:30 am at St. Matthews Catholic Church; 1 Notre Dame Ave, San Mateo, CA 94402.
