Being an athletic director at the high school level is not for the faint of heart. Coordinating schedules and practice times, securing transportation to away matches, hiring — and sometimes firing — coaches, buying uniforms and equipment can be a daunting task. Some A.D.s are better at it than others and some find out quickly it’s not for them.
