Obituary : Hanneman, Frances "Fran" |
|
|
Dec. 12, 1943, to July 28, 2008
Fran is survived by her loving husband, partner and friend for 24 years, Eric
Hanneman; her father-in-law, Bob Hanneman of Santa Paula; her daughter, Lisa
Ordonez of Fresno; and her true, loyal and adoring kitty, Kiki, who worshiped
the ground she walked on.
Fran was born in Ontario, Canada, and grew up through a very stormy childhood
on tobacco farms throughout Southern Ontario Province. She was proud of the fact
that from an early age she was able to work on the farms and was a very
proficient worker. After suffering for many years with numerous chronic
illnesses, the pain became too much for her body to bear. Fran did not fear
death as she knew it would take her to a far better place.
A tireless worker all her life, to the very end, Fran still enjoyed keeping
her home spotless. Fran worked for a few years at Sears in Oxnard. For about 10
years, Fran had her own private house-cleaning business. When her health issues
forced her to give up the business, she was missed by all she had cleaned
for.
A voracious, self-taught speed reader Fran loved books on any and every
subject but in particular novels. Fran will be missed by all who knew her. She
was a 26-year sober member of Alcoholics Anonymous.
No services are planned per Fran's request. Her ashes will be spread in
nature by her husband in a private gathering later this year.
If Fran had written this it might have simply said:
"She came.
"She saw.
"She conquered.
"She survived
"She was a fighter all the way."
Cremation arrangements are under the direction of the Neptune Society, Santa
Barbara, Calif.
In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to Well Spouse Association, 63 W.
Main St., Suite H Freehold, N.J. 07728, or to Alcoholics Anonymous.
