Wilma Juanita Nation Leach, born February 4, 1926, passed away in Santa Barbara,
CA on August 20, 2008. Born in Lincoln, Kansas to Parks and Bessie Nation, her
father died in a house fire when she was 8 months old and her mother struggled
many hardships to raise her family of six.
Wilma was preceded in death by her
husband of 62 years, Virgil Leslie Leach in March 2002. Married in Portland,
Oregon on March 16, 1946; they resided in Lompoc from 1963 to 1972. A minister's
wife for fifty years, she devoted her life to the Lord.
Wilma is survived by
her sister Faye Washburn on Nampa, ID and brother, Guy Nation of Middleton, ID,
four children, Linda Thomas and husband Wendell of Douglasville, GA, Stanley
Leach and wife, Mary of Lompoc, CA, Steve Leach and wife, Sheila of Santa Maria,
CA, Marilyn Warren of Chatsworth, CA, nine grandchildren and three great
grandchildren
A memorial service will be held Saturday, August 30th at Mumaw
Funeral Home in Lancaster, CA at 1:00 PM with viewing from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM.
