Mildred L. Langlois, an 89 year old native of Wilmont, MN. and resident of
both Santa Clara and Santa Cruz died on Sunday at her Santa Clara home. She
worked for the Civil Service in both Japan and Germany following WWII, was
employed by Ames Research Center at Moffet Field during the 1960's and was the
CFO of her family owned business, Value Products of Santa Clara from 1968 to
1980. She was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliary Post 3942,
Mission Santa Clara, South Bay Traditional Jazz Society. She also enjoyed
dancing and Dixieland music. She was a world traveler and collected memorabilia
from her many trips. She is survived by her step-son, Frank Langlois of Oregon,
her sister Gladys Schreiner of Minnesota. She is also survived by many nieces,
nephews and a host of friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Edward,
sister Viola Betty Zweber and nephew Lyman Lindeman.
Friends are invited to attend the reception & celebration of her life at
the Santa Cruz Memorial "" Oakwood Chapel 3301 Paul Sweet Rd., Santa Cruz, at
2:00PM on Friday, July 10, 2004. Burial will follow at the park. Contributions
to a hospice or cancer fund are preferred.
