Obituary:Iride A. Whitney Print E-mail
Iride A. Whitney, 85, of Santa Clarita passed away on Tuesday, October 21, 2008. She was a dedicated public health nurse for 50 years.

Iride is survived by her daughter, Kip Leland; her son, Scott Whitney; and three grandchildren.

A casual potluck reception will be held on Saturday, October 25, 2008 at 5:00 p.m. at the Leland residence, 28041 Eddie Lane, Santa Clarita. In lieu of flowers, donations are encouraged to Kaiser Permanente Hospice, 10605 Balboa Boulevard #330, Granada Hills, CA 91344.

Patricia Kelley, 50, of Santa Clarita, CA died after a long illness on Wednesday, October 22, 2008. She was born on June 14, 1958 in Glendale, CA.

Patricia is survived by her two sons, Thomas Kelley of Santa Clarita and Timothy James Kelley of Simi Valley.

Services will be held today, October 29, 2008 at 10:00 a.m. at Eternal Valley Mortuary Chapel, Newhall, CA.

HENBERGER-Dr. John David Henberger, 55 of Santa Clarita, California passed away Friday, September 12, 2008 due to a tragic drowning accident. John was born on January 12, 1953, in Benton Harbor, Michigan and was a Los Angeles County resident for 25 years. John received his undergraduate and doctoral degrees in physics from The Ohio State University in Columbus, Ohio. He was a teacher at Eagle Rock High School in the Los Angeles Unified Scho ol District. John enjoyed the outdoors. He was an avid hiker, camper and snow skier and had a passion for taking photos of nature. John was preceded in death by his parents, Raymond and Anna Henberger of East Canton, Ohio. He is survived by his loving sister, Judith and brother-in-law Kevin Leddy, twin nieces Caitlin and Meghan Leddy of Colleyville, Texas. A Memorial Service will be held Monday, September 29, 2008, 4:00 P.M. at the Chapel of the Oaks, Eternal Valley Memorial Park Mortuary, 23287 North Sierr a Highway, Newhall. At the request of the family, in lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in John's name to the National Parks Conservation Association, 1300 19th Street, NW, Suite 300, Washington, DC 20036. Arrangements are under the direction of the Eternal Valley Memorial Park Mortuary, Newhall.
