Obituary : Lancer Paige Hill |

 Lancer Paige Hill, 71, of Saugus, passed away peacefully at his home with Carol
by his side on Wednesday, September 3rd, 2008 after a long battle with lung
disease.
Lancer had many nicknames: "Lanny, Papa, L.P., and Paige". He
was born on April 2nd 1937 in Minneapolis, MN and moved to California in 1965.
He married Carol in 1979. Lanny worked at WEA as an accountant for 33 years.
After his retirement he stayed active as a crossing guard for the City of Santa
Clarita where he was vital insuring for the safety of thousands of elementary
school children.
Lanny will forever be remembered in our hearts with his
great smile, giving heart, kind and patient nature toward everyone he met. We
will miss you Lanny because you left this world a better place, for all that
knew you.
He is survived by his loving wife Carol; his daughters Tony,
Laura and Tracy; Son in-laws Jon and Paul; his grandchildren Ashley, Arthur,
Andrew, Brian, Rebecca and Kevin; his brother Lowell; sister in-law Sherry; his
nephews Jason, Darren, his nieces Raegan, Kylie; his cousin Lynnae; Carol's
mother Lou; Carol's brothers, sister, nieces, nephews; and his many, many
friends.
Services to be held: A visitation will be held Thursday,
September 11, 2008, from 3:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. at Eternal Valley Mortuary,
23287 N. Sierra Hwy, Newhall. A rosary will be held on Thursday at 5:30 P.M.
followed by eulogies and family readings from 6:00 - 8:00 P.M. A funeral Mass
will take place Friday, September 12, 2008 at 10:00 A.M. at Blessed Kateri
Church, 22508 Copper Hill Drive, Santa Clarita, 91350. Arrangements have been
entrusted to Eternal Valley Mortuary, Newhall.
In Lieu of flowers a
donation can be made in memory of Lancer P. Hill to Blessed Kateri Church
"building fund". Donations can be mailed to the above church address.
