SANTA ROSA Stolen car found, suspect escapes |

A vehicle reported stolen in San Mateo was recovered by Santa Rosa
police, but the driver eluded officers after leading them on a pursuit
through a residential neighborhood, authorities said Sunday.
Santa Rosa police responded to a report of a suspicious vehicle on
Valley West Drive at 8 p.m. Saturday and determined that the vehicle
had been reported stolen.
The driver fled when police
approached, then bailed out and ran on Occidental Road near Fulton
Road, Santa Rosa Police Sgt. Ray Navarro said.
