According to Santa Rosa County Property
Appraiser Greg Brown, the average homeowner in unincorporated Santa
Rosa would save $154.
The savings would be slightly higher in Gulf
Breeze, Milton and Jay, which also levy property taxes. Savings would
be a bit higher in Escambia County and the City of Pensacola, which
levy higher millage rates.
But for many, the annual tax savings might equal a one-month share of the annual increase in their hurricane insurance policy. Read more
