KAISER, Francis Paul Entered into rest, August 29, 2008 in Santa Rosa, CA. Dearly beloved fifty-four year husband of Barbara S. Kaiser of Santa Rosa, CA. Loving father of Jennifer C. Milligan of Vancouver, WA, Susan M. Pinto, Annette J. Santarini, Christopher P. Kaiser, Michael D. (Debbie Wilsey) Kaiser and Peter A. Kaiser, all of Santa Rosa, CA. Cherished by 10 grandchildren and three great grandchildren. Also survived by his sister, M. Carolita Mahoney and his brother, Joseph Kaiser of MN; as well as one niece, Mary Mahoney and one nephew, Michael Mahoney both of MN. A native of Underwood, MN, age 77 years. Francis is preceded in death by his parents, Arnold and Mary-Catherine (McAllister) Kaiser, one brother, Fr. John Kaiser and son-in-law Chris Pinto. Francis was a member of S.I.R.S. Chapter 76, Third Degree Grand Knight and Fourth Degree Faithful Navigator of the Knights of Columbus, the Merry-Go-Rounders and past member of the Society of St. Vincent de Paul. Francis was active within his parish, the Cathedral of St. Eugene's, where he served as a Lector. He graduated from St. John's Preparatory in Collegeville, MN and received his B.S. from Colorado State University in Ft. Collins. He worked in the dairy industry in quality control at the California Cooperative Creamery in Petaluma. Francis retired as Quality Control Manager for Carnation in 1996. Francis was a natural sportsman and enjoyed hunting, fishing, golf, skiing, hockey, horseshoes as well as croquet. He was an avid gardener. An honorable veteran of the U. S. Army, Francis served as Master Sergeant during the Korean War. He has been a resident of our community for the past twenty-one years. Family and friends are invited to meet and attend a Funeral Mass at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, September 5, 2008 at the Cathedral of St. Eugene's (Corner of Farmer's Lane and Montgomery Drive, Santa Rosa, CA, 95405). Interment with Military Honors will be private. LAFFERTY & SMITH COLONIAL CHAPEL (4321 Sonoma Highway, Santa Rosa, CA, 95409) will provide visitation hours from 11:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, September 4, 2008, where at 7:00 p.m. a Vigil Service will commence in the Main Chapel. As an expression of sympathy, the family prefers memorial contributions in Francis' memory be made to the local Society of St. Vincent de Paul, 610 Wilson Street, Santa Rosa, CA, 95401.
