Edythe M. Brooks Edythe Brooks, 95, of Saratoga, CA passed away
on April 4, 2009. Devoted wife of the late Byron Brooks, Sr. Beloved mother of
Byron Brooks, Jr. and Gail (Carl) Jones. Loving grandmother of Kerri Cloutier,
Katie Jones and Emily Jones and great-grandmother of Nicole, Melissa, Desiree
and Jake. Fond aunt to many nieces and nephews. Edythe was born on April 8, 1913
in Maywood, Illinois to the late Albert and Alma (Haker) Nieman. She is preceded
in death by her brothers, Edward, Herbert, Irving and Willis Nieman and by her
sisters, Dorothy Fike, Gladys Davis, Kathryn Ross, Arlene Brooks and Eleanore
Finkbeiner. Edythe will be remembered for her kindness and devotion to her
family. She was a doting mother and grandmother, wonderful cook, terrific
athlete and avid sports fan. Private services.
