Dennis E. McConnell Of Saratoga, Ca after a courageous Battle with cancer entered into our heavenly fathers arms on December 26, 2008 at the age of 76. He met the love of his life Joanne (his high & mighty) the night before he was shipped out to Korea. They corresponded by mail for 2 years, got engaged on his leave December 1953 and were married June 11, 1955 during his leave. He was a wonderful husband, magnificent Father, grandfather and great grandfather. He is survived by his beloved wife Joanne of 53 years, Devoted father of Maureen, Charlene Gibson (Howard), Dennis II (Lisa), Bryan, Joleen Allen (Daniel) his loving 10 grandchildren & 3 great grandchildren. A man of integrity. He gained the respect of carpenters, contractors and all colleagues throughout his career. He was a member of local unions 50 years. A field agent with Northern California trust fund, a business representative, an administrative assistant with the Central California District Council of Carpenters. He also worked as a member of the Joint Apprenticeship training committees of both carpenters & dry wall. A Memorial service will be held on Friday, January 2, 2009 11:00 AM at Sacred Heart Catholic Church 13716 Saratoga Ave. Saratoga.
