I feel so bad that one family had a bad experience. I can tell you that was just a crazy flunk. Hong's has awesome food, great service, a bunch of vegeterian choices. You really should try it again. If you have ANY issues, just ask for a manager. They pride themselves on making your meal the best :-)

Awful: Went today all family. Waiter was slow and unexperienced. We chose sour sweet chicken, roasted duck, and Ming Beef. All the food was simply below Panda Express quality. We left the restaurant with most of the food untouched. The cloramine was strong in the sodas. No hot water in the bathrooms. I suspect an overdose of MSG in the food. I don't know if I will ever be able to eat chinese again!

Great to have in the neighborhood!: Saratoga has a well-deserved reputation for being overrun with EXPENSIVE, fussy restaurants. it's all too easy to go out for a simple dinner and end up paying $150. Hong's is not inexpensive, but considering the location and the food quality, you can't beat it. The food is all very fresh, the sauces are light and tasty, none of the gooey, gloppy cornstarch mess you find at many Chinese restaurants in the area. Best mu shu I've had, and all the noodle dishes are fantastic. Seafood is excellent, and the servers are friendly and helpful, they'll tell you what's best that day. Well worth a visit if you're in the area, and if you live in Saratoga, it should be on your list of "don't miss" places.
