Allan Eugene Brenner
May 20, 1938 - October 21, 2008
Allan Eugene Brenner passed away surrounded by his loving family and friends on October 21, 2008, after a ten year bout with Parkinson's disease.
Allan was born on May 20, 1938, in Oroville, CA, where he spend most of his childhood. He enlisted in the US Navy after graduating fromHealdsburg High School, here he served as one of the top Communications Technicians for four years. While enlisted in the navy he spent most of his career on the "USS Enterprise" aircraft carrier, and was stationed in Istanbul, Turkey. After serving in the Navy, Allan met his wife Sheran, and shortly thereafter attended Apprenticeship School and pursued a career as a General Building Contractor. He retired from building shortly after he was diagnosed with Parkinson's disease. He had a lifetime passion of reading God's word and completed the Berean Bible home study course during his retirement. Allan was also a talented artist that loved painting natural scenery with oils, charcoals and pastels.
Allan was a man of integrity with a unique sense of humor. His family would like to share some of his favorite things: wiggling his ears, the ocean, painting, woodworking, driftwood, wonders of nature, playing and watching basketball (esp. the Golden State Warriors), reading and teaching the bible, country music, meatloaf and baked potatoes.
Allan is survived by his loving wife Sheran, his son Theodore Brenner, his daughter Tina Hammell, and son-in-law John Hammell. He is also survived by 7 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren, and his sister Peggy Noble.
A celebration of Allan's life for family and friends will be held on Wednesday, October 29, at 1 pm, at the Century Assembly of God Church, at 550 West Century Blvd, Lodi, CA. Phone # 209-334-3225.

Joseph F. Amaro Jr. Feb. 3, 1938 - Oct. 9, 2008 Campbell, CA - Joseph, 70, died Thursday in Salem, OR. He was born in Santa Clara and lived in the Silicon Valley all his life. Joseph served in the United States Air Force. He worked for 10 years as a locksmith. Joseph enjoyed bowling, woodworking, coin collecting, garage saling, fishing, hunting, and he loved his golden retriever dog, Goldie. He is survived by his daughters: Kimberly Stubenrauch of Stayton, OR., and Paulette Bittner of Olympia, WA., Son: Michael Rizzo of San Francisco, CA. Brother: Leo Amaro of Santa Clara, CA. Sisters: Mary Adamson of Sunnyvale, CA and Kathleen Albertoni of Oceanside, CA. 5- grandchildren and 4-great-grandchildren. Many nieces and nephews. Memorial Service was held Sunday, October 12, 2008 at 4:00 PM at Cascade View Free Methodist Church in Sublimity. Private Interment Willamette National Cemetery, Portland, OR. John Hynds Age 48, of Sunnyvale, CA, formerly of Champaign, IL died at 3:01 AM PST at El Camino Hospital in Mountain View, CA. John was born March 20, 1960 in Urbana, IL to Edward and MaryAnn Hynds Jr. John is survived by his wife, Joyce Kelly, and daughter, Thaïs Kelly; father Edward Hynds (Sandy); three brothers: Richard, Patrick (Mary), and twin brother Michael (Carrie), all of Champaign, IL; two sisters, Elizabeth of Champaign, IL and Margaret of Castro Valley, CA; several nieces and nephews and many close friends. John attended Champaign schools at St. Matthew's and Bottenfield Grade School, Edison Junior High, and Central High School. John was an avid reader, enjoyed camping, skiing and the mountains, fishing, coin collecting, and helping family members. His selfless contributions to his family and friends were unconditionally and quietly carried out throughout his lifetime. His wonderful sense of humor will be missed, as he could always put a smile on anyone's face. John was a friend of Bill W. and celebrated many anniversaries. An accomplished carpenter, John was a member of Carpenters Local #44 of Champaign and, in most recent years, Hayward, CA Local #713. John worked with Specialties Etc. of San Francisco where he will be missed by his co-workers. Friends are invited to attend a Memorial Service Sunday, September 7th at 1:00 P.M. at LIMA & CAMPAGNA SUNNYVALE MORTUARY, 1315 Hollenbeck Ave, Sunnyvale.
