Jerome 'Jerry' Fernandez Jerry passed away peacefully on July 3rd after a brief illness. He joins his beloved wife Brenda into eternal rest, along with his mother and father. Jerry is survived by his loving sons Joseph and Michael. He also leaves behind his brother Tom and sisters Colleen Wells (Greg) and Patty Fernandez. Jerry was very fond of his numerous nieces, nephews, uncles, aunts and cousins. Jerry was born in San Jose and remained in Sunnyvale his entire life. At age 21, he started his first business, Jon's, in downtown Sunnyvale with his uncle Manuel Fernandez. He went on to Jons II and the Wagon Wheel in Mountain View. Jerry retired in 2001. He enjoyed gardening and spending time with his family. Jerry was a proud past president and current member of Sociedad Cervantes in Sunnyvale. Jerry's great sense of humor and loving nature will be missed by all who knew and loved him. A funeral mass will be held on Friday at 11:00 am at St. Martin Catholic Church in Sunnyvale.
